In a post apocalyptic world, life for Weston James Miller is still just the way he likes it: profitable. He is living well and quite content on hunting the occasional creature who slips past the magically protected borders of Polluxus, with no interest in ever going back to Castoria, the other half of the world shrouded in darkness.
But when a former arms dealer receives an S.O.S. informing him his daughter, Elisabeth, is in grave danger, he desperately pleads for Weston's help. Weighing on Weston's conscience, he reluctantly accepts the rescue mission, and sets sail for the dark side...
Days later and alone in the hellish streets of what used to be New York, Weston's only source of light is Dogstar, a magic gun that guides him along his dangerous path. He has yet to discover the darkness that lies within his other possessed pistol, Eclipse, but he soon will find the longer he holds it, the more it starts to take him over...
Joined by Elisabeth's crew, Weston begins his hunt for the demon who holds her captive, in a world where danger lies waiting around every dark corner...
The only question is, will Weston ever make it back to collect his bounty?
West of Light started many years ago in a donut shop one cold, snowy December night on Bardstown Road in Louisville, KY. Our comic book group had a meeting that ended a little early and the donut shop was the only thing open nearby. We brainstormed some ideas for a book and then sent Bruce off to work his magic.
We would like to recognize our cover colorist, Francisco "PAC23" Perez. Check out his amazing work at PAC23.com
